“Yoga done properly is not competition, even with yourself.” ~Erich Schiffmann.
Yoga has changed me, it has transformed my life, who I am, and the way I think. It has taken me way beyond the physical postures of yoga.
A life-long yogini and meditator, I started teaching yoga in 2005. With 600 hours of training in classical Hatha, Integrative Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, and Meditation, I teach Hatha, restorative, gentle, yin, prenatal, therapeutic yoga and meditation with compassion, love and healing in a safe and nurturing environment. I love to nurture people with physical limitations, size limitations, injuries, trauma, rehab, surgery recovery, seniors, pain management, or with other health challenges with therapeutic yoga that focuses on breath work, gentle yoga, stretches, restorative yoga, yoga-nidra, meditation and healing. There is no “right” way of doing an asana (posture); it is all about what a person needs in the present moment and where the body is willing to go. My classes will take you to a deeper level of awareness and nurturing than just an asana (postures) class.
I am also an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurvedic chef with 1000 hours training in Ayurveda. I offer Ayurvedic lifestyle and wellness counseling, teach private/group Ayurvedic cooking classes, offer cooking consultations based on your dosha, and weekly food service.
I make this offering of teaching yoga and Ayurveda to any one whom it may help in healing, self-realization and freedom from pain. I feel very blessed to be part of this sacred ancient tradition. I humbly thank everyone who has been part of my journey, especially my students who trust me and help me learn every day. I invite you to come experience “yoga” and “Ayurveda” like I have.
